Why Bronze?

About this piece
The pebble heart is a different object from a standard heart pendant. Where most hearts in jewellery have pointed bases and clearly defined lobes, this one has had its outline softened and rounded until it reads more like something found on a beach than something made in a workshop — and yet it is unmistakably a heart rather than an abstract form. Cast in solid bronze and polished to a warm shine, it is one of the more tactile pieces in the range: smooth enough to run a finger over without catching, satisfying to hold in the palm. At 1.5cm it is small enough for daily wear without feeling like a statement, suited to layering with other necklaces or wearing alone on a fine sterling silver chain.
