Hand-Stamped '8' Hammered Bronze Cufflinks
£55.20
Hand-hammered across the face for texture and depth, these solid bronze square cufflinks carry a small hand-stamped '8' in one corner — a quiet, personal marker of eight years together. Each pair measures around 15mm square and is made individually in Cornwall, so slight variations in the hammering are part of the character rather than a flaw. As a direct nod to the bronze wedding anniversary, they make one of our most requested 8th anniversary gifts for him. Bronze needs minimal care: an occasional wipe with a dry cloth is all that's required.

Why Bronze?
Bronze is the traditional gift for the 8th wedding anniversary. An alloy of copper and tin, bronze represents the melding of two distinct lives into a stronger, more enduring union. Its warm, golden tone grows richer with time, much like a beautiful marriage.
About this piece
Made individually in Cornwall, each pair of these cufflinks starts as flat solid bronze sheet before being cut, shaped, and worked by hammer across the face. No two pairs emerge from that process with identical hammer patterns — the texture on one cufflink will differ from the one beside it, and both will differ from any pair made before or after. The hand-stamped '8' in the corner acknowledges the anniversary without spelling it out at length. The result is a cufflink that carries the marks of its making in a way mass-produced jewellery cannot replicate, and that will develop a richer character over years of wear as the bronze deepens in the recesses of the hammer marks. No polishing is needed; the texture genuinely improves with use.
